Suzuki Saudia flooded with purchase orders after launching SX4 car in KSA
Posted: 19-04-2007 , 08:47 GMT

Suzuki SaudiaSuzuki Saudia, the sole distributor of Suzuki vehicles in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, has announced that there has been an overwhelming response to the SX4, the company's latest offering in the Saudi automotive market, prompting Suzuki Saudia to request an additional delivery of SX4s to the Kingdom. As purchases continue climbing at the company’s Jeddah showroom, Suzuki Saudia has assured customers that all purchase requests will be met as additional shipments have been booked for the well-liked car.

Stocks of the SX4 have already run out after more than 100 units were sold within a month of the car's launch. With the demand greatly outweighing the initial release, Suzuki Saudia has been compelled to place some of the buyers on a waiting list as the company awaits the next batch of SX4s to arrive next week.

“Clients are pouring into our showrooms to check out the SX4. The warm reception by the consumers has been the result of excellent product quality, extensive promotion and effective word-of-mouth advertisement as new SX4 owners spread the word around of the car's excellent features and trendy look," said Ahmed Al Shamaile, Sales Manager, Suzuki Saudia.

"We have already sold some 100 units, including 40 to a single purchaser, Al Haddawi Rent a Car, which reflects our customers’ confidence of our product. Within a month of offering the car to the Saudi market, we were able to sell 60 SX4s through our different showrooms in Jeddah.

For customers in the priority list and those still planning to buy, we assure them that more units are arriving to meet the increasing demand," added Al Shamaile. Equipped with features that enhance comfort, safety and performance, the SX4 has been fitted with a 2.0-litre engine, 143 horse power, electronic Brake-Force distribution system, electronic stability program, rigid safety body structure, dual airbag protection system, anti-lock braking system, remote-control radio, CD and MP3 player; 16-inch alloy wheels, and a spacious interior.

“The SX4 has contributed a very healthy eight percent increase to our sales within a short period of its release. We expect to further increase our revenues with the arrival of the additional SX4 units,” noted Al Shamaile.

"By leveraging the leading Japanese automobile maker's advanced technology, Suzuki is able to offer the Saudi market highly customized products that complement the lifestyle of its consumers. Suzuki enjoys a strong patronage because it continuously delivers optimum products and services and satisfies the needs of its clients," concluded Al Shamaile.
