Mayo ClinicJavna, the leading Arab software solutions and wireless applications, has launched, in cooperation with Mayo Clinic International Centre, the first phase of the Mayo Clinic mobile medical health tips project.

The Amman-based Arab company said the service is designed as an awareness effort through which users are provided with medical tips and educated on the best healthy behaviors to maintain a healthy and energetic lifestyle. Program subscribers will receive three tips each week, contain synopses of the latest medical research related to all aspects of daily health life.

Commenting on the Mayo Clinic service, Javna's CEO Mansour Mansour said: "As we developed our new awareness campaign, we wanted to ensure operational excellence…starting with the provider and ending with the cost. Asresult, Mayo Clinic, the world's leading medical institution, was the clear choice for the health contt, and the service subscription is provided to the endusers100% free, as it is funded by corporate sponsorship and advertising ."

Mansour said the pilot campaign for the Mayo Clinic health tips covered Jordan, Qatar, UAE and Saudi Arabia and was available in both Arabic and English. The remaining near east countries will be included in the coming few months, he said.

Mansour added: "We started attracting sponsorships from major companies, organizations, pharmaceuticals manufacturers and insurance companies, among other institutions concerned with public health awareness."

For his part, Javna’s Business Development Director, Sammy Tuffaha, said that end users did not incur any expenses or fees and the service is and will always be totally free for all mobile subscribers within the countries involved in the initiative.

He noted that subscription to the service is quick and simple. Users, he explained, can accept an invitation they receive on their cell phones, or send the word Mayo in Arabic or English to the service numbers that are available at www.MobiAdhome.com.

Tuffaha said: "Mayo Clinic medical tips initiative is the latest addition to the MobilAd platform, which Javna developed to meet the growing need for innovative mobile marketing tools."

He added: "MobiAd was designed to keep up and lead the quick advancing commercial advertising industry, where the global share of mobile ads is estimated at $10 billion annually, with studies showing that mobile marketing global industry will grow to $20 billion annually within five years."
