Rumours of Lloyds TSB and HBOS Merger Deal Continues
Posted: 01-10-2008 , 10:02 GMT

Rumors of a re-pricing of the Lloyds TSB and HBOS merger deal continues. The original offer was of 0.833 Llodys TSB shares for every HBOS share, but after recent share price falls, there are expectations that the deal will be re-negotiated and even fall through. Such rumors caused yesterday's 13.8% drop to HBOS shares, which now stand at 122.4 pence per share, compared to 232 pence per share when the deal was announced. There is talk that the offer might be re-priced to 0.6 Lloyds shares for every HBOS share.
