MTC-Vodafone (Bahrain), VeriSign sign agreement

MTC-Vodafone (Bahrain), the Kingdom’s leading mobile operator, on Sunday announced the signing of a security consulting services agreement with VeriSign, the leading provider of intelligent infrastructure services for Internet and telecommunications networks. MTC-Vodafone (Bahrain) deal

 

Under this agreement, MTC-Vodafone (Bahrain) will leverage VeriSign’s global security consultants to build a world-class security management infrastructure that exceeds international standards and establishes a new level of best practices.

 

“We consider this a highly strategic initiative. Security breaches, hacking, and malicious attacks are becoming increasingly complicated, causing damage and interruption to businesses across the globe.  With the increase in mobile usage for Internet and data services access, there is increased risk of attacks on mobile devices.  MTC-Vodafone (Bahrain) is uncompromising when it comes to the quality of its services and the confidentiality of customers’ information,” said Khalid Muhtadi, Chief Operations Officer - IT and Customer Services at MTC-Vodafone (Bahrain).

 

“Our customers have found that our mobile data services portfolio is easy to deploy and guarantees high levels of accessibility and accuracy,” said Muhtadi. “However, with the launch of our nationwide 3G services and highly competitive and tailored corporate services, we recognize the need to provide advanced security features to preempt any threats to our customers.”
