Passenger traffic between the Arab World and other regions increased by 16.4% in November 2005 compared to November 2004. This growth is due to the increase in passenger traffic with all the world regions, especially with the Far East and Australia that marked a growth of 24.1%. Also, passenger traffic inside the Arab world increased by 10.7% in November 2005 compared to November 2004. This month’s growth is due to the increase in passenger traffic in all regions, except within the Arabian Peninsula that declined by (1.1%).

The air transport industry recorded 2.5% increase in November 2005 compared to November 2004, following a growth of 5.2% in October 2005 compared to October 2004. The increase was spread on all the regions of the world except between the United States and the Far East that is still marking a decline in passenger traffic since April 2005, due to the big increase in passenger traffic between these regions in the last nine months of the year 2004 as a rebound to the end of the SARS crisis.
