Almasa officially launches “Commercial Distributor” Agreement with AMD for the Middle East

Almasa IT Distribution, one of the leading hardware distribution and network solutions specialists in the Middle East, has officially launched its “Commercial Distributor” agreement with AMD by hosting a channel event for AMD resellers at Movenpick Hotel, Dubai. Almasa IT DistributionInvitees were welcomed by Syed Parvez Ahmed, Vice President of Almasa IT Distribution, and Herve Barcelo, Director Distribution EMEA of AMD, and received the latest product and technology related information in a reseller training given by Gaith Kadir, Regional Manager, MEA, AMD.

 

Established in 1969, the international manufacturer of innovative microprocessor, flash memory and low-power processor solutions, AMD, has aggressively entered the Middle East region by signing a “Commercial Distributor” agreement with the leading distributor Almasa IT Distribution, which has deep-rooted connections in the market and will increase AMD’s channel bandwidth in the region by offering a strong channel infrastructure.

 

Syed Parvez Ahmed, Vice President of Almasa IT Distribution said, “Almasa and AMD share similar goals in the industry, to be consistently innovative and bring needed technology to the market. AMD’s powerful customer focus ties in well with Almasa IT Distribution’s approach to strongly supporting regional resellers and contributing to pushing the local market forward”.

 

Talking through the details of the agreement, Gustavo Arenas, Corporate Vice President and General Manager for High Growth Markets Regions with AMD explained, “Almasa IT Distribution will be distributing AMD’s CPU’s to selected resellers across the Middle East. Due to its long standing position as the largest IT distributor in the Middle East, AMD sees this as an excellent opportunity for growth and expansion of its channel network across the region, with the aim to grow its existing market share”.
