LG Electronics wins US$38.1 million Smart City contract

Global and regional digital leader LG Electronics has been awarded an USD 38.1 million contract from Goldcrest Properties, a division of Giga Group, to deploy its HomNet smart home technology in Goldcrest Properties’ Smart City project. LG Electronics (LGE)

 

LGE HomNet will deploy its Home and Community management solutions for the project addressing the growing need for smart home solutions in today’s fast paced life. This alliance will offer tenants a modern lifestyle with sophisticated amenities such as ultra-high speed Internet access, keyless home entry, video and audio communications, integrated security with CCTV streaming, parking & access control, community portal solutions and much more.


The General Manager of LGE Branch Amman, Mr. Kevin Cha Said, “Recognising the potential of its product offering, developers are now choosing LGE HomNet to provide customers with a convenient and secure lifestyle integrating digital home solutions. We are well-positioned to support the region’s booming property developments and are confident of LGE’s growth in this niche sector.”

Strategically located on Emirates Road and within close proximity to Dubai International Airport, Smart City will offer over 3,500 luxury apartments comprising studios, one-bedroom and two-bedroom units all of which are equipped with LG HomNet's home management solutions.

 

LGE HomNet home solutions also include access control for the household and common entrances, notifications of visitors during the absence of the owner, and other convenient features.
