Imdaad signs contract with Ibn Batuta Mall

ImdaadImdaad, Dubai World’s advanced facility management service arm, today (October 5, 2008) signed an agreement with Ibn Batuta Mall, Dubai’s unique shopping destination and one of the biggest shopping malls in the Middle East, to provide strategic solutions for managing the mall’s facilities, assets, and buildings.

 

The three-year renewable contract was signed by Jamal Abdullah Lootah, Chief Executive Officer of Imdaad, and David Thurling, Managing Director, Nakheel Shopping Malls.

 

On this occasion, Jamal Abdullah Lootah said: “The signing of this contract with Ibn Batuta Mall provides us with unique opportunity to prove our service excellence. Imdaad is focused on adding value to the facility management operations. This contract motivates us to develop better tools to keep pace with the rapid growth of this industry in Dubai. We are committed to the continuous upgrade of our services because top quality facility management plays a prominent role in the development of tourism and real estate projects.
 
“Imdaad will provide Ibn Batuta Mall with unique services in conformity with international standards and rules pertaining to facility management solutions by using state-of-art tools and technology. It ensures service quality as well as enables cost-cutting.”

 

Under the contract, Imdaad will carry out periodical maintenance works in addition to the maintenance of fire-fighting equipment and the management of the mall building. It will also supervise the mall’s engineering works. Imdaad will follow the best practices with regard to the protection of environment, health, and safety. 

 

Other services under the contract include the operation and maintenance of the mall’s heating, ventilation, air conditioning and electrical systems, civic amenities and attending to damages caused by accidents. Imdaad will provide technical support consultations for replacing the assets as well as wastes and infrastructure management. To ensure quality in services, Imdaad’s help-desk works  round-the-clock attending to clients’ queries.

 

An important objective of the service contract is to set up a long-term strategic plan to manage this important shopping facility in co-ordination with the mall administration and in line with the highest quality and safety standards.
