Bahrain bourse: Negative trading during June

bahrain stock exchangeThe Bahrain All Share Index ended the month of June on a negative note, closing at 1,581.67 points. This means a decline on a MoM basis by 2.50%. Market capitalization fell by 2.49% at the end of June to reach BD6.48bn (US$17.172 bn).

 

Decliners outnumbered the advancers by a margin of 18 to 5 and the prices of 26 companies remained unchanged. Moreover, the value of shares traded increased by 90.11% to reach BD33.10 mn. In addition, the volume of shares traded increased by 116.94% to reach 170.46 million shares.

 

On the other hand, the number of transactions fell by 31.11% to reach 2,825 trades. Most of the trading was concentrated in the Commercial Bank Sector, which witnessed BD27.17mn of trading value, capturing 82.10% of the total value of shares traded on the BSE.
